2024 HRRC erg pull

 Catholic High again was the venue for the Hampton Roads Rowing Club’s erg pull. About 150 participants competed in rowing 2000 m pieces in various events.

Alex Hudson and Hunter Heckman represented CHS in the men's junior U-19 and U-17 events respectively. Both pulled PRs. Alex finished with a 7:43.7 (1:55.9 500m pace) and Hunter with a 8:27.5 (2:06.8 500m pace).

Alex was coxed by Hunter and Hunter was coxed by Sophia.

Additionally, Sophia and Hunter rowed in the 1000m coxswain events. Sophia finished 2nd in the women's coxswain event with a time of 5:08.1 and Hunter finished 3rd in the men's coxswain event with a time of 4:01.5. 

Freshman Emma Cunningham pulled a 9:42.9 in the Women's U-17 event (rowing with Great Bridge.) CHS parents manned the concession booth. At the end of the event Mrs. Pattinson took home a new erg for her use. All-in-all a successful event.
