EVSRA Season Opener

We kicked off the 2012 season in auspicious fashion, placing in 7 of 8 events and beating every other private school  that rowed in the same heat. The W2nd4 deserves special kudos winning their event, beating three schools that have been rowing since August. Our varsity guys pushed both Granby (in the MV8) and Great Bridge (in the MV4) to finish second in their events. Note that Granby and Great Bridge are arguably the top two programs in the EVSRA, both having recently won state championship titles.

We still have some competition from NA and NC so the season is far from being over, but I expect improvement across the board from all crews. This coming week will be telling as we will also enter 4 novice events.

The season opener video of the WV4 in their event where they out sprinted NA's crew at the finish to beat them by 0.4 seconds has been made "private." Send me a e-mail if you'd like to view it.

Below is the score sheet.
