Catholic High again hosted the Hampton Roads Rowing Club's Erg Pull in our gym. Over 160 athletes competed in various categories. Full results are here.
A number of our students competed, most pulling personal records. While still pics show a snippet of effort (or not, Hunter!) It takes a bit of video to show the effort involved in pulling a 2000m piece under competitive conditions. The vid is of James pulling his 7:23.2 time, leading all of the team members. Well done!
In addition to our current students, we had a couple of alumni participate. Below is Alex Hudson (class of '23) and Mike Donner (class of '01). Both rowed crew for CHS "back in the day."
So, the past was represented, but also the future. The Osier family from St Gregs participated, Mom, Dad and three children. Oldest Charlie will be a riding 9th grader at CHS next year.
